Texas Society of Professional Engineers Endorse Gov. Perry for Re-election

August 20, 2009

Gov. Rick Perry today earned the endorsement for re-election from the Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE).

“TSPE is proud to announce its support of Governor Perry in his re-election campaign,” said TSPE President J. Kent O'Brien, P.E. “We look forward to his continued leadership on important issues such as economic development, infrastructure, and education so that Texas may continue to be the state we are proud to call home for generations to come.”

The Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE) was founded in 1936 to serve the interests of the individual engineer in Texas. TSPE is the only active, established organization devoting its entire effort to the professional, ethical, economic, social and political aspects for all engineering disciplines in Texas. TSPE represents more than 3,800 members and serves to promote and protect the professional engineer in Texas.

“Texas engineers are crucial to building the infrastructure our state needs to accommodate the more than 1,000 people that continue to move here every day,” said Gov. Perry. “I am honored to have TSPE’s endorsement and look forward to continuing my support of the great things they do for our state.”

TSPE joins the Texas Chemical Council and Texas Municipal Police Association in their endorsement of Gov. Perry for re-election.
