Texas Podiatric Medical Association Endorses Gov. Perry for Re-election

AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry today received the endorsement of the Texas Podiatric Medical Association (TPMA) for re-election in 2010.

“Gov. Perry has led the state of Texas to an unprecedented position of strength during his tenure as governor,” said TPMA President Martin Sloan, DPM. “From working to reform our state’s tort system to protect doctors from frivolous lawsuits, to his willingness to stand against potentially harmful health care legislation in Washington, Gov. Perry has proven his commitment to strengthening our state’s health care system. He is the leader Texans need moving forward.”

TPMA is dedicated to securing enactment and enforcement of fair laws for podiatric medicine, guarding the interest of podiatric physicians, promoting quality foot care for the citizens of Texas and representing member interest in all legislation that impacts specialty medicine.

“Texas podiatrists are an important component to the health care profession who improve the quality of life for hundreds of thousands of Texans that allow them to live healthier, more active lives,” said Gov.
