AUSTIN – The Texas Pest Control Association (TPCA) has endorsed Gov. Rick Perry for the 2010 general election.
"Texas has achieved the strong economic position it’s in today because of Gov. Perry’s principled, conservative leadership," said Van Wilson, President of TPCA. "The Texas Pest Control Association is proud to endorse Gov. Perry in the general election and thankful for his partnership with the pest control industry in our effort to protect the citizens of Texas and the environment. Under his ongoing leadership, Texas will no doubt remain the best place to live and work in the United States."
The Texas Pest Control Association was established in 1945 and currently has more than 500 active voting member companies. In 2002, TPCA affiliated with the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) to provide members a three-tiered membership in a local chapter. The principal advocate and leadership organization for the pest control industry in Texas, TPCA encourages the highest quality education, communication and representation to promote the pest control industry and the public good.
"The small business owners who make up the Texas Pest Control Association are the backbone of our state’s robust economy," said Gov. Perry. "I am grateful for the support of the Texas Pest Control Association and look forward to continue working with their members to ensure the ongoing opportunity for small business owners that daily invest their capital in Texas."
