Texas Locksmiths Association Endorses Gov. Perry

Continues Support Through General Election

AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry today received the endorsement of the Texas Locksmiths Association (TLA) for the 2010 general election.

“Gov. Perry’s work to protect and strengthen small business has been essential to the success of our industry,” said Billy Garrett, president of TLA. “We are proud to endorse him in his re-election effort and look forward to working with him to give small business owners the tools they need to create jobs and thrive.”

TLA works to assist its members in efforts to grow their businesses, improve their public image and provide continuing education on a variety of topics of interest to locksmiths across Texas.

“I’m proud of the work we’ve accomplished in Texas to create a climate that allows the private sector, particularly small businesses, to succeed,” said Gov. Perry. “Last year, we cut taxes for more than 40,000 small businesses in Texas, and I am committed to continue working to uphold low taxes and a reasonable regulatory system to ensure all small business owners, including Texas locksmiths, are equipped to succeed in our increasingly competitive and growing economy.”
