Texas Forestry Association Forestry PAC Endorses Gov. Perry for Re-election

August 23, 2010

AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry today received the endorsement of the Texas Forestry Association (TFA) Forestry PAC for re-election in 2010.

“The Forestry PAC is proud to announce our support for Gov. Perry in his re-election campaign in November”, said Ron Hufford, executive vice president of the Texas Forestry Association. “Gov. Perry understands the importance of our forests and his conservative leadership is what has helped keep our wildlife thriving and his support of forest conservation practices is vital for the future of our forest resource.”

The Forestry Political Action Committee is the political component of TFA. TFA is guided by a conservation philosophy and is more than just an association of forest-minded landowners, businesses and professionals. It offers programs for almost every Texan interested in conservation, business, history, education, wildlife and more.

“I'm grateful for the Texas Forestry Association's efforts to educate the public and promote forest conservation practices throughout our state,” said Gov. Perry. “Their work is crucial to the future stewardship of our state's prized natural resources and I’m honored to have their support. I look forward to continue working with them to provide the resources they need to keep our Texas forestry industry thriving.”
