AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry has received the endorsement of the Texas Association of Dairymen PAC for the 2010 general election.
“The Texas Dairymen PAC is proud to support Republican Gov. Rick Perry for a third full term as Texas governor,” said John Cowan, executive director of the Texas Association of Dairymen. “Throughout his career in public service, he has been a friend of agriculture, looking out for the interests of farmers and ranchers, including dairymen, throughout Texas. He understands that the agriculture sector must stay healthy for our state to have a strong economy and effectively feed the people of Texas.
The Texas Dairymen PAC is the political action committee of the Texas Association of Dairymen (TAD). TAD has been the advocate and unified voice for the dairy industry in Texas since 1991. Members include both dairy cooperatives, comprised of individual Texas dairy producers, and affiliated companies.
“The Texas Association of Dairymen PAC is a fundamental component to our state’s agriculture industry and essential to providing the food that families across our state and nation depend upon,” said Gov. Perry. “I appreciate the work they do every day on behalf of Texans and am honored to receive their support in this election. I look forward to working with Texas dairy farmers to ensure they have the tools they need to prosper.”
