AUSTIN – Gov. Perry today received the endorsement of the Exotic Wildlife Association (EWA) for the 2010 general election.
“The Exotic Wildlife Association is proud to support Gov. Perry for his re-election,” said Charly Seale, Executive Director of EWA. “Gov. Perry has been instrumental in helping Texas preserve and protect the exotic animals unique to our environment. We thank him for all his efforts and are happy to support him this November.”
EWA's mission is to encourage and expand the conservation of indigenous and non-indigenous hoofstock animals, and to help their members develop and strengthen the markets for their animals. EWA represents members throughout the U.S. and in several foreign countries. EWA members have propagated and protected some of the largest populations of privately owned wild ungulates in the world, and have been responsible for supporting various educational, scientific and research projects.
“I am honored to have the support of the Exotic Wildlife Association, which is a true voice in preserving the integrity and ethics of Texas’ exotic wildlife industry,” said Gov. Perry. “This group's efforts are an important component to our state's thriving tourism and outdoor recreation industry and I am proud of their efforts to keep Texas’ wildlife rich and diverse.”
