Concerned Women for America State Director Ann Hettinger Endorses Gov. Perry for Re-election

AUSTIN – Gov. Perry today received the endorsement of Ann Hettinger, state director of Concerned Women for America (CWA).

“Texans need and deserve a leader who honors their God-given freedoms and who facilitates their responsibilities with reasonable and prudent laws,” said Hettinger. “Gov. Perry is that leader. Texas is no doubt a better place with Rick Perry as governor and I’m proud to give him my endorsement for re-election.”

Ann Hettinger has been state director of CWA for three years and promoted numerous measures to strengthen the pro-life and pro-family climate in Texas. Most recently, she worked closely with lawmakers in passing House Bill 4009, which establishes a human trafficking taskforce that will develop policies and procedures for the prevention and prosecution of human trafficking crimes. She previously served as CWA area director for North Texas for eight years. She is a certified Texas public school teacher and has served in educational positions of leadership in churches across the nation.

“Ann’s dedication to building and strengthening the moral fiber of our state has played a valuable role in the policies and legislative priorities our leaders have pursued over the years,” said Gov. Perry. “Her work for Texas has clearly made our state a better place and I am honored to have her support and eager to continue working alongside her to foster conservative ideals in our state.”

Hettinger joins the Texas Municipal Police Association, Texas Chemical Council, Texas Society of Professional Engineers, RNC Committeewoman Cathie Adams, Texas Right to Life, Houston Realty Business Coalition, Texas Apartment Association, Texas Republican County Chairman Association President Linda Rogers, Heidi Group Founder Carol Everett, Texas Alliance for Life, Texas Department of Public Safety Officers Association PAC, Texas Home School Coalition PAC, Texans for Life President Kyleen Wright, Conservative Republicans of Texas President Dr. Steve Hotze, Free Market Foundation President Kelly Shackelford, Texas Chiropractic Association, Americans for Prosperity State Director Peggy Venable, the Texas State Association of Fire Fighters, Texas Association of Realtors, Texas Civil Justice League PAC and Texas Oil and Gas Association President Rob Looney in their endorsement of Gov.
