Boating Trades Association of Texas PAC Endorses Gov. Perry for Re-election

AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry today received the endorsement of the Boating Trades Association of Texas PAC (BTAT PAC) for re-election in 2010.

“The Boating Trades Association of Texas PAC is pleased to endorse Gov. Perry in the general election,” said Mike Hebert, president of BTAT. “Gov. Perry is a powerful advocate of our state’s outdoor recreation industry and understands the role it plays in fortifying our state’s economy and tourism. He has been steadfast in efforts to improve the boating industry and boating access in Texas, and we are happy to offer our endorsement.”

BTAT is a self-governing organization composed of marine dealers, manufacturers, manufacturers’ representatives, distributors and marine operators who, with a select group of associate members, are dedicated to protecting the interests of the industry and to building pleasure boating throughout Texas and the United States. With more than 600,000 recreational boats registered in Texas, the economic impact of the boating industry in Texas is significant.
