AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry today received the support of the BEEF-PAC of the Texas Cattle Feeders Association (TCFA) for re-election in 2010.
“The policies Gov. Perry has put in place throughout the years have ensured that our state remains a leader in food and fiber production,” said BEEF-PAC Chairman Monte Cluck. “Rick Perry is a good friend of the Texas cattle feeding industry and is the person Texans need to continue leading our state.”
BEEF-PAC is the political arm of TCFA – a trade association that represents cattle feeders and feedyards throughout our great state. The Texas cattle feeding industry leads the nation, marketing approximately 6 million head or 25 percent of the nation’s fed cattle, and contributes $19 billion to the state’s economy annually.
“Texas continues to be the nation’s leading beef-producing state and home to a cattle feeding industry which Texas’, regional and national economies all depend upon,” said Gov. Perry. “I’m honored to have the support of BEEF-PAC and look forward to continue working with them to keep the agriculture industry in our great state among the strongest in the nation.”
