Welcome to RickPerry.org, the official web site of Texans for Rick Perry which is the Governor’s official campaign organization. We have developed this privacy policy to explain what information we might collect from you during your visit to the site and why we collect it.

As part of our effort to provide you with up-to-date information on the campaign, we may at times ask you to submit information such as your name, address, email address, and phone number. You are not obligated to divulge this information unless you choose to do so.

Texans for Rick Perry reserves the right to share your information with authorized third parties who provide services relating to contacting our supporters and only for that purpose. We will not otherwise share or sell your information under any circumstances.

Optional Email Subscription and Volunteer Signup:

More and more, email is become the best method to communicate with the Governor’s supporters in an efficient, timely manner. We encourage you to subscribe to our email list and to let us know if you would like to volunteer. This is completely voluntary and choosing not to subscribe will not affect the quality of your online experience at RickPerry.org. You can opt-out of our email list at any time:

Logs/Internet Protocol Address:

RickPerry.org uses industry-standard software that keeps a record of each visit to our site. This software tracks the following information:

  • Time of the visit
  • IP Address - the unique address assigned to your computer when logged on to the internet
  • What items are downloaded from our site - the page you request, the images on that page, and any files that you download.

This information is used to obtain aggregate information that allows us to see how many people are visiting the page, what areas they visit, the most popular sections of the site, and which times and days have the most site activity.

No personal information is tracked in this process other than the numeric IP address of your computer.

Online Contributions:

If you choose to make an online contribution to Texans for Rick Perry, we will collect the following information:

  • Your mailing address
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number
  • Employer and occupation

We may attempt to collect other optional information as well. Optional information is listed as such.

Note

State law requires us to use best efforts to collect and report the full name and address, principal occupation or job title, and full name of employer of individuals whose contributions equal or exceed $500 in a reporting period.
