In February 2013, Texas Governor Rick Perry launched a radio campaign blitz in California intended to lure businesses big and small to relocate to Texas. These thirty second advertisements emphasized “zero income tax, low overall tax burden, sensible regulations and fair tax system.”
AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry today issued the following statement regarding the death of former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon:
“Ariel Sharon was a proud and strong defender of the nation of Israel, an uncompromising patriot who faced down the multiple enemies surrounding his young country with selfless determination and unflinching courage. We stand with the Israeli people as they mourn his passing. SAN ANTONIO – Gov. Rick Perry today touted the important strides Texas has made in bolstering transportation infrastructure in the state since 2001. The governor spoke at the Ninth Annual Texas Transportation Forum, where the Texas Transportation Commission announced the creation of the Governor Rick Perry Leadership in Transportation Award. Beginning next year, the award will be presented annually to recognize leaders who have shown a commitment to advancing transportation infrastructure in Texas.
