For those of you who joined the Perry Alliance Network before the new version launched, we wanted to give you an overview on the changes that have been made to the program. Based largely on feedback from members like you, the new site takes the best of what we’ve done in the past, applies the lessons we’ve learned in the process and moves the Perry Alliance Network to the next level.
Point System
The previous version of the Perry Alliance Network was all based on recruiting new members. The new version is based on a point system that weighs recruiting the same as before, but also rewards a variety of other activities, such as volunteering and being active on the Perry Alliance website. Almost everything you do on the Perry Alliance Network site earns you points. Points are redeemable for exclusive Alliance Rewards items. The new Perry06.com gives every member of the Perry Alliance the opportunity to advance within the network on their own terms.
Level
Under the old version, you’re level was dependent upon who recruited you and the level you selected rather than how active a member you are. The new version makes it
easier to choose how involved you want to be and every member will have a chance to become an Advocate or Ambassador.
If you were a member before the re-launch, your goals and progress remain unchanged. All previous progress has been transferred and the appropriate points have been credited to your account.
- Perry Allies:
You will now have the ability to recruit new members to the Perry
Alliance Network without having to commit to any goals. There is no
longer such a thing as a non-recruiting member. If you were asked to be
a Perry Advocate (recruiting member) in the past but were uncomfortable
committing to the goal of recruiting 20 members, that should no longer
be a concern. Now, all members will be able to invite their friend and
family to join, even if it’s only a handful of people. - Perry Advocates & Ambassadors:
First of all, we want to thank you for making a commitment to help
build the Perry Alliance. As far as we’re concerned, you are one of
Governor Perry’s strongest supporters and a key partner in building the
Perry Alliance Network. Apart from providing all-new resources to aid
you in your recruitment efforts and exclusive rewards to thank you
along the way, your mission will remain fundamentally the same. The
only difference could be a temporary level change to Ally or Advocate
based upon your recruitment progress so far. Please do not be
discouraged by any temporary shift in level. The definition of an
Advocate or Ambassador remains the same, only that members will be
recognized at new levels when they reach that point and there are now
additional ways to get there.
Volunteering
Another key addition to the new Perry Alliance Network is our Volunteer Center. Alliance members now have the ability to go beyond our online community and volunteer for local campaign activities such as local phone banks, neighborhood block walks and more. The Perry Alliance Network is now the official hub for all volunteer activities for the Perry campaign. You can earn an additional 100 points right now by registering as a volunteer. By doing so, you will be contacted by campaign staff about opportunities in your area.
Going Public
The Perry Alliance Network has now gone completely public. Members are still able to recruit and build their own teams, but we are also accepting walk-ins who join directly through Perry06.com. This will allow us to reach thousands of new Texans who previously had not been invited to join the Alliance.
We hope you enjoy the new Perry Alliance Network. An incredible amount of time, thought and member feedback has gone into this upgrade, and we are very excited about the new version. Please let us know if you have any questions or feedback.
As always, thank you for supporting Governor Rick Perry!
