Yesterday, Governor Perry received an endorsement from the San Antonio Police Officers Association.

“Gov. Perry has been a relentless advocate of the law enforcement community and always championed our legislative agenda," says Dean Fischer, Vice President of the San Antonio Police Officers Association.

Gov. Rick Perry visited Corpus Christi today and called on the federal government to reimburse the state of Texas for costs associated with detaining criminals in Texas jails who are undocumented immigrants. Perry announced he will send a letter to U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano asking the federal government to begin reimbursing the state for such costs.

Gov. Rick Perry today spoke at the Texas Association of Business (TAB) Annual Conference Luncheon to honor the 2010 Best Companies to Work For in Texas and accept TAB’s endorsement for his re-election. The endorsement confirmed that over a million individuals through their groups and organizations have stood up and said they are backing the Governor in his gubernatorial bid for 2010.
