Welcome to the Governor's Journal
Welcome to my new online journal! I've started this as a way of keeping up with you. Here, you'll be able to view pictures of events, participate in discussions, and to talk with other members. My goal is to use this as a tool to communicate with you on a regular basis so check back often for updates. You'll be able to share your opinion on various topics, and to talk with other folks from across the state of Texas.
Lately, I've been traveling to promote my first book: "On My Honor: Why the American Values of the Boy Scouts Are Worth Fighting For" You can read more about the book here. All net proceeds from the sale of this book benefit the Boy Scouts.
I've seen many of you in the last several weeks at book signings in Dallas, Houston, Austin, Fort Worth, San Antonio, Hondo, Lubbock, Abilene, Woodville, Beaumont, Lufkin, and Tyler. To see photos from these events, please visit this link.
On April 30th, I was proud to join Attorney General Greg Abbott in Austin at the National Day of Prayer Breakfast. It is always a pleasure to see Evelyn Davison, Regional Coordinator for National Day of Prayer, and to join hundreds of our fellow people of faith as we gather annually to share our commitment to God and pray for the direction of this great state and country. You can see some pictures of that event here.
While you're here, take a moment to read and discuss the latest post on our blog about the good business environment we have in Texas. We will be featuring news, notes, and interesting information here on the blog, and hope you'll come back on a regular basis to read and discuss the latest blog posts.
Thanks for taking the time to read my first journal entry. If you'd like, please leave a comment below.
