LISTEN ONLINE: Governor Rick Perry with Joe Pags.
Last Friday, after signing two bills to assist veterans and their families with higher education, Governor Perry spoke at length with radio host Joe Pags in San Antonio.
In this first part, Pags and Governor Perry spoke about these two new Texas laws that provide our veterans with in-state tuition and other important educational opportunities. You can watch a couple of videos from the bill signing by clicking here. In addition, the two discussed the Texas philosophy on taxes and spending versus the philosophy of Washington, D.C. and states like New York that are currently raising taxes. They also discussed health care, transportation, and education. Listen for yourself:

In part two, the Perry responded to some criticisms hurled by his possible 2010 opponent regarding the Governor's rejection of federal strings on unemployment insurance funds that would have forced Texas to grow government. Governor Perry also discussed bipartisanship in Texas and the success of tort reform under his tenure. Listen here for yourself:
In part three, Pags allowed Governor Perry to respond to a variety of rumors and speculation, and the two discussed the "black hat" tactics that led to Senator Hutchison's website being banned by google and yahoo. Listen here for yourself:

America NEEDS to look to Texas and Governor Perry NOW!
Well, as I'm leaving this comment I've only listened to part 1 but I just have to say how pleased I am with what the Governor is saying (as I always seem to be pleased with him). He gets it, and it warms my heart that we will have the pleasure of helping keep a true American and Texas Patriot as our Governor! You never cease to amaze me Governor, and don't back down, keep going and make your voice louder! I truly believe you have the courage to lead the charge against the wrong decisions that our Federal Government is making, and I know we the people can make some real change we can believe in come 2010 on the Federal level, but we certainly don't need a change in State level leadership and you Governor are the one that I believe has what it takes to be the leader America is looking for... although, we won't let you leave Texas! We're keeping you here at home :D
It’s going to take all of us to make the change, but it never hurts to have someone in leadership who gets it that will help us make it happen, and you Governor are that leader. Thank you for being for the people! You are definitely with us and one of us as well. It also warms my heart to see that we have a Governor that LOVES our state of Texas and when you took the oath of office to defend our state, I know you did not take those words lightly. It’s obvious that you didn’t merely say those words, you meant them with all your heart because we can now see that you won’t let all the bad decisions in Washington try to take Texas down with it. God bless you! And thank you once again for giving us someone like yourself in a position of power like the Governor of the state of Texas that we can believe in and trust!
No wonder he ain't afraid to debate KBH!
He is going to win, I think KBH is not going to know what the heck hit her... she's going to turn into Robert Gibbs lol she'll be like, "uh uh... uh I... uh, well what uh, I'm going to uh uh..." Can't wait, please send me the heads up when the debate takes place! I wanna see it!!
Re-Election
I listened to the interview with Joe Pags on Fri 7-30-09. I have to say i'm quite inpressed. My husband and I moved here from California in 2006. It was the best decision we ever made. We wouldn't want to live anywhere else. While than we didn't know much about the governor, we do now. I speak for my husband and myself when I say we will be voting for the re-election of Gov Perry. He is the best candidate.
Thank You,
Suzanne Kelley
