Labor Day

Labor Day in the Obama era is a painful reminder that far too many Americans have no jobs at all. Twenty-three million –as many people as live in Australia – are out of work or lacking full-time jobs in President Obama’s America.

Texas shows that strong conservative leadership can change that. In the month of July, Texas added 17,800 jobs. Between July 2011 and July 2012, Texas added 222,500 nonfarm jobs. For the last 67 months, the Texas unemployment rate has consistently been at or below the national unemployment rate.

Our state is an economic beacon for the rest of the United States. Our balanced budget, low taxes and fair, predictable regulations aren’t the only reasons.

We owe a debt of gratitude to hard working Texans and entrepreneurs, who labor every day Texas a better place to live, work, and raise a family.

Our federal government is known for out of control spending, debts, and deficits. Texas is praised for our balanced budget, low tax burden, and reasonable, predictable regulations. Enjoy this Labor Day, Texas. You’ve earned it!
